Winter or Spring?

I thought spring was here, but last Sunday at noon I could take this picture:

When I came back to Stranda that afternoon, I had to walk through deep snow.

One week earlier I had changed from snow tires to ordinary tires, so this weekend I went home by bus. I was glad I had left my car here when I saw all that snow on Sunday!

View from school on Monday morning.

It's still quite cold, but spring is trying to conquer winter.
The following pictures I took today:

I believe in spring!

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43:18-19

A Former Student

Spring is here!

Today one of my students from 2005/2006 visited me. Homeira is from Afghanistan.
I was her English and Norwegian teacher.

- You are the best teacher I've ever had, she said.
Thank you, Homeira! And please come again!

Watch the Lamb

This is not an April fool.

One of the songs that has made the strongest impact on me, is Ray Boltz's "Watch the Lamb". The first time I heard it, I was so surprised by the sudden turn of the meaning of the lamb.

A man is going to Jerusalem with his two sons to sacrifice a lamb at the Passover festival. Watch the video at YouTube and see what happens:

Watch the Lamb! You don't need any sacrifice any more. The Son of God is the real Passover Lamb. He is the Lamb of God, who suffered in stead of you and me. Jesus Christ made himself a sacrifice for our sins, to open the way to God for us.

"Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world."
John 1:29

"Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honour and glory and praise!"
Revelation 5:12
